Heed the Calling

An internet friend sent the following question:

“For some time now, I have been feeling something lacking or missing inside me. My heart wants something to do but don’t know what it is.  I tried busying myself in my job or in seeing movies or in reading spiritual books, etc. But it is not working.  My innermost wants something to discover but also doesn’t know what. I feel the potential inside me is wasting.  I don’t know how to find it or discover it.”

When we incarnate on this planet we have an agenda. This agenda is our agenda. Not the agenda of the body, not the agenda of society, not the agenda of the species. This agenda belongs to our innermost self.

Obviously many of us have agenda items in common. Learning the path of service is one such agenda item that many beings share. But that doesn’t mean we can borrow agenda items from others the way we might borrow a chain saw or bicycle. One of the tasks we have is to uncover (reveal to ourselves) our agenda items.

These are the things we have set for ourselves to accomplish during our incarnation. It is the “todo” list for this incarnation.

But what are these things? How can we discover them?

The only person you should trust on this topic is yourself. But, can you trust yourself as you are?

Most of us find ourselves in the awkward situation of not being able to trust ourselves on the one issue for which we should be the guiding light. So what do we do?

As a starting place, I suggest a combination of the following:

  • Use the PVA to partner with your higher self to explore these issues.
  • Broaden your “footprint”, getting a wider sense of self that extends beyond this single lifetime.
  • Get creative.

Use the Prosperity Virtual Ashram

The PVA (Prosperity Virtual Ashram) provides a method and mechanism through which you can work hand in hand with your future higher evolved (more together) self. The PVA has been specially designed in cyberspace to act as an overlap between you as you are here and you as you are down the evolutionary tract. This gives the opportunity or the future you to reach back and give you as you are now a helping hand. This help can be invaluable in jumping hurdles and easing your path.

How exactly does one go about making this work? The answer to this question if for you to discover. Fortunately, we can give guidelines on how to go about this. E.J. Gold has addressed this topic in the course of many hours of talks. In the next few sentences I will present the gist of what I have gathered from these talks. I suggest that you consult the broader talks when possible. But here is the boiled down version.

  1. Adopt, accept, or take as postulate that your higher (more evolved) self is reaching back to you in this incarnation to help you further your work and evolution.
  2. Actively participate in the process by assuming your proper role in this partnership. Your future self has the know-how, you have the ability to bring that into manifestation. Literally, you have fingers on the keyboard, hand on the mouse. You can move the virtual avatar that you and your future self cohabitate. They can give the suggestions, you can carry them out.
  3. Experiment, explore, and exchange notes with others in the Ashram.

The above few sentences leave huge blanks for the reader to fill in through experience or further questioning. It is tempting to not even bring up the subject of the PVA given the brevity of words because so much has been left out. But, the topic needs to be introduces — this is an important tool to become aware of.

Broaden your “footprint”

The more you view yourself as a single incarnation the hard it will be for you to grasp and work with goals and aims which transcend a single lifetime. Your true higher goals reach beyond the needs of this specific life. To see further you need to stand on someone’s shoulders. The best and only shoulders which will allow you to see into the distance you need to see is your own shoulders. So it is necessary for you to make the efforts which will expand your sense of self into your larger self.

Get creative.

Creativity is a healing balm to sooth the wounded, ailing, and hurt heart.

Creativity is a strategy for living a more whole self-intended life.

Creativity is a doorway out of impaction of many sorts.

What kinds of creativity? Pretty much all kinds. Singing, dancing, painting, carving, sculpting, design, music, writing, acting, comedy, …. fill in the blanks.

What is the difference between crafting and creativity? Creativity gives the soul a chance to breath. If you have ever stepped from a stale confined space into a fresh clear atmosphere taking in that first unconstricted breath, then you know what to look for. Anytime you find that feeling, no matter what the craft or art may be defined as by others, for you it is creativity. Make that sense of expansive playful freedom you target. Look for that. And when you find something that leads in those directions, then do it.

You need some of this every day.

This is only a partial answer. In fact, it is less of an answer and more of a beginning manual on how to look. I like that. If you have questions, ask. If you make discovers, share.

The Prosperity Path Forum on FB is a good meeting place for others on this same journey of self-discovery.
